1937 International Lawn Tennis Challenge

The International Lawn Tennis Challenge 1937 was the 32nd edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national teams in tennis. The competition was held in two continental zones of Europe and the Americas zone. The winners of the two zones played a playoff for the final.

In continental playoff, the United States prevailed over the German Empire, and defeated in the subsequent from 24 to 27 July during the final defending champions Great Britain 4-1. It was the most twelfth title of the United States.

Playoff

In the playoff between the two winners of the continental zones, the U.S. triumphed over the German Reich. Here, Don Budge took on a 0:2 set residue in the playoff against Gottfried von Cramm in 2-2 games.

Final

In the final between defending the UK and the USA, the challenger was able to prevail 4-1. It was the most twelfth title in the United States. For the UK it should after five final appearances and four titles in a row last 41 years ( until 1978 ) until the next final.
