1999–2000 Russian Superleague season
The 1999/2000 season was the fourth season of the Super League. The league title secured for the first time the HK Dynamo Moscow, while in the context of leagues reduction from 20 to 18 teams for the following year with the ZSK WWS Samara, crystal Elektrostal and HK Lipetsk descended three teams in the league Wysschaja.

Main Round
Mode
The 20 teams in the Super League first played in a common main round in return game against each other, each team played 38 games season. The 16 top-ranked teams who qualified for the play- offs, where the Master was played. The four last placed the main round had against the four best second division play for the league in return game, with the top four teams in the Relegation allowed to participate in the following year the game operation of the Super League. For a win within regular time each team received three points with a win in overtime two points with a tie after overtime, there was also a point like a defeat after overtime. For one defeat after regulation time gave no points.
