2002–03 Russian Superleague season
The 2002/03 season was the seventh season of the Super League. The league title secured for the third time Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, during the HK Spartak Moscow, HK Mechel Chelyabinsk, Perm and Molot - Prikamye Krylia Sovetov Moscow descended into the Wysschaja league.

Main Round
Mode
The 18 teams in the Super League first played in a common main round against each other, each team played 51 games season. The top eight teams qualified for the play- offs then, where the Master was played, while the four last placed descended to the second division. For a win within regular time each team received three points with a win in overtime two points with a tie after overtime, there was also a point like a defeat after overtime. For one defeat after regulation time gave no points.
