2010 Table Tennis European Championships

The 29 Table Tennis Championship ( officially: 2010 LIEBHERR European Championships ) took place from 11 to 19 September 2010 in Ostrava instead.

After 2007 and 2008, the German table tennis player Timo Boll won again all three contests in the men. In the first German EM 's singles final since 1958 the world rankings Second won against his club colleague Patrick Baum, won the double with Christian Suss and also won the team competition.

In the women's bronze medalist last year Wiktoryja Paulitch from Belarus won in singles competition against the Austrian Liu Jia. In the doubles competition also put the bronze medalist in 2009, Rūta Paškauskienė (Lithuania ) and Oksana Fadeeva (Russia), by. In team competition holders the Netherlands won for the third consecutive gold medal.

In the German women's team following players were used: Wu Jiaduo Zhenqi Barthel, Kristin Silver iron, Sabine Winter, Elke Schall. In Group D, the team against Austria (3:0 ) and Croatia ( 3-1 ) won, but lost against Turkey with 2:3. Because of the games most gained, it was so, ahead of the tied ladies from Turkey and Austria. In the round of the top eight spots Germany, Romania and Hungary was defeated each with 2:3. In the match for seventh place against Turkey, the German team gained revenge for the defeat in the group stages and won 3-0.
