2011–12 Turkish Cup
The Turkish Football Cup 2011/12 began on 7 December 2011 with the first main round and ended on 16 May 2012 with the final. The Turkish Cup was held for the 50th time this season. The Turkish Cup winners got the right to start in the final qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League 2012/13. If the cup winner already has the Süper Lig UEFA Champions League (and their qualifications ) qualified, the loser of the finals for the second qualifying round of the Europa League is qualified.
The finals took place 19 Mayıs Stadyumu in the Turkish capital Ankara in Ankara. Fenerbahce was the 15th time in the final and Bursaspor for the fifth time. Both teams met in the same pairing in the final of 1973/ 74. Bursaspor won the first leg 1-0, but Fenerbahçe won the return match 3-0 and became Turkish Cup winners.
Fenerbahce won the final with a 4-0 win and was the fifth time in the club's cup winners.
Mode
The mode has been changed compared to previous years. The group stage was abolished from the first round to the final knockout mode is played.

1 Main Round
The draw for the first round took place in Ankara on 24 November 2011. The games were held on 7 December 2011. In the first round each played the eight best teams from the two groups of the 3rd Liga and the six climbers from the 4th to the 3rd league last season.
2 Main Round
In the second main round 28 teams competed against each other. The round consisted of eleven teams in the first main round, three losers of the Süper Lig 2010/11 season and the 14 teams in the second league who missed the rise.
3 Main Round
In the third main round 32 teams played against each other. It qualified in addition to the 14 clubs from the second main round, the 18 clubs in the Süper Lig season 2011/12. The teams in the Süper Lig were directly qualified for 3 main round. The games were held on 10, 11, and 12 January 2012.
Second round
The draw for the second round took place on March 7, 2012. The games were held from 20 to 22 March 2012.
Quarterfinals
The draw for the quarter-finals were held on 23 March 2012. From the quarter- finals, the matches will be played at neutral sites.
Semifinal
The draw for the semi-finals were also held on 23 March 2012.
