2012 Six Nations Championship

Six Nations of 2012 was the 13th edition of the annual rugby union Six Nations tournament. On five weekends between February 4 and March 17, 2012, the national teams of England, France, Italy, Ireland, Scotland and Wales occurred in 15 games against each other. Wales won the tournament with a Grand Slam ( winning all five games ).

For the first time since the Six Nations 2008, no more games were played on a Friday night. Italy was its home games while still in Rome, but new at the Stadio Olimpico instead of the current at the Stadio Flaminio.

Shortly before the game referee Dave Pearson decided not to whistle the game, as the partially frozen pitch at the Stade de France would have endangered the health of the players.
