33rd César Awards

The 33rd ceremony of the César Awards, the most important French Film Awards, held on 22 February 2008 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

In announcing the nominations on 25 January 2008 by the President of the award ceremony, the French actor Jean Rochefort, Olivier Dahan's La Vie en Rose and Claude Miller's A Secret dominated the awards, each with eleven nominations. The ceremony was broadcast live from the French pay- TV channel Canal . "We put on a festive and fun edition, even more so than last year, nothing on the cultural level was exciting ," said Jean Rochefort, who alluded to a decline in admissions in France.
