AMD 690 chipset series
The AMD 690 series is a family of AMD chipset for AMD K8 and K9 processors. The first models were presented on 28 February 2007.

All chipsets are named after the northbridge used.
The 690 - series IGP is a derivative of the Radeon X700. Often times the Radeon Xpress X1200, X1250 and X1270 IGP identified as a Radeon X1200 series. This may lead to confusion.
