Mobile Sempron is a brand name for notebook processors from AMD. The term is used since the introduction of the K8 architecture 2005 single-core CPUs in the lowest price segment.

The Mobile Sempron is developed analogous to the models of the Athlon or Turion family, but this is not reflected in the model name. In the early days Sempron were similarly sold for the desktop pure 32 -bit processors under this name for AMD, but now the Athlon 64 single-core has been completely replaced.

Since early 2009, even very economical models with a current draw of 8 to 15W are offered under the name Sempron addition to the classic cheap processors.
