Armenia is a Colombian city with 324 588 (Z 2005) inhabitants and also the capital of the department of Quindio.

Armenia is centrally located in the country, 290 kilometers west of Bogotá, Medellín and the same distance south little closer north-northeast Cali at an altitude of 1480 meters on average in the foothills of the Cordillera and covers an area of 121 square kilometers.
