Birmingham South Stars

The Birmingham South Stars were an American ice hockey franchise of the Central Hockey League from Birmingham, Alabama.

History

The Birmingham South Stars took to the 1982/83 season the game operating in the Central Hockey League on. They took the gap that had left a year earlier, the Birmingham Bulls in the city. It was named the team in accordance with the Minnesota North Stars of the National Hockey League, their farm team they were. In her only season the team finished in third place in the CHL. In the subsequent playoffs for the Adams Cup they first defeated the Colorado Flames 4-2 victory in the best- of-seven series, before the Indianapolis Checkers documents with 2:5 victories in seven games in the final.

Since the Birmingham Bulls, recovery for 1983/84 season as a franchise in the Atlantic Coast Hockey League game operation, the Birmingham South Stars were dissolved.
