Amarillo Wranglers (1968–71)

The Amarillo Wranglers were an American ice hockey franchise of the Central Hockey League from Amarillo, Texas.

History

The Amarillo Wranglers took the 1968/69 season the game operating in the Central Hockey League on. In its first season, the team missed the fourth South Division still just the playoffs for the Adams Cup, but was then inactive for the following season for financial reasons. For the 1970/71 season, the Wranglers returned to the CHL back, but were repulsed with only 14 wins in 72 games Table and missed the playoffs again. Subsequently, the franchise was dissolved.

It took over two decades to 1996 with the Amarillo Rattlers of the Western Professional Hockey League again a professional ice hockey team was based in the city.
