St. Louis Braves

The St. Louis Braves were an American ice hockey franchise of the Central Hockey League from St. Louis, Missouri.

History

The Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds from the Eastern Professional Hockey League in 1962 to Syracuse, New York, moved and changed their name to Syracuse Braves. Even during its premiere season the Braves were relocated again on January 1, 1963, this time to St. Louis, Missouri. At the end of the season, EPHL was dissolved and the St. Louis Braves took for season 1963/64, the operation of gambling in the Central Professional Hockey League newly formed, in which they were the new farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League. In the four years of its existence, never, never came team beyond the first round of the playoffs for the Adams Cup.

For the 1967/68 season the St. Louis Braves have been to Dallas, Texas, relocated, and continued the game operating under the name Dallas Blackhawks in the Central Professional Hockey League.
