Bjørn Myrbakken

Bjørn Myrbakken ( born August 15, 1972 in Fannrem ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Myrbakken began his career in 1991 in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup. After he was able to make in the first jumping its quality evidence he gave on 13 March 1991 in Trondheim his debut in the World Cup Ski Jumping. On 5 December 1992, he was able to win a World Cup for the first time - point with the 15th place while jumping in Falun, Sweden. Two weeks later he was standing in Sapporo for the first time on the podium and jumped to 3rd place. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1993, he won the team competition, together with Helge Brendryen, Øyvind Berg and Espen Bredesen the gold medal. At season's end in Planica he jumped with the team to 2nd place and was so for the first time with the team on the podium at a World Cup competition. The World Cup season 1992/93 he finished in 10th place in the overall World Cup standings. In the ski flying World Cup he was at the end of the season also on the 10th Place.

At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, he jumped on the normal hill on the 39th place. After the games, he jumped again at Team jumping in Lahti with the team to 3rd place and so on the podium. However, He then remained rather happiness and success and then ended after the 1994/95 World Cup season his active ski jumping career.
