Jochen Danneberg

Jochen Dannenberg ( born April 9, 1953 in Halberstadt ) is a former German ski jumper and ski coach.

Career

Dannenberg, who started first for the ASK Brotterode forward and since the mid-1970s for the ASV forward Oberhof, won in 1976 and 1977 the overall standings of the Four Hills Tournament. At the Olympic Games 1976 in Innsbruck starting for the GDR Dannebergplatz won behind Hans -Georg Aschenbach the silver medal on the normal hill.

1976 and 1979 was Dannebergplatz GDR champion on the normal hill, 1974 Third. On the large hill Dannebergplatz was twice runner-up in the years 1976 and 1978.

From 1995 to 2007 he was, with short breaks, coach of the South Korean ski jumping team. After completing his engagements in Korea Dannebergplatz joined us in 2007 in the United States, where, according to career ends of Alan Alborn and Clint Jones existed no men's senior team more. Dannenberg was to train there on behalf of the newly formed, independent of the U.S. Ski Association Ski Jumping Development Organization United States a new generation team and introduce them to the advanced world class. However, in 2010 he left the United States and became coach of the Netherlands. A year later he became a ladies' trainer to China. The end of May he was released there as a surprise.
