Bohdalov

Bohdalov ( German Bochdalau, also Bochdalow ) is a market town in the Czech Republic. It is located eleven kilometers east of Polná and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Bohdalov is located on the edge of Arnolecké Mountains, part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands, brook in the valley of the Bohdalovský. The location is the center of the Natural Park Bohdalovsko and is surrounded by numerous ponds, of which the fishpond Záhumenní, Hornomlýnský rybnik, Dolnomlýnský fishpond, fishpond and Vázebný Bohdalovský rybnik are greatest. Southeast rise of V Kopečku ( 663 m) and the Hudcova skala ( 663 m ) southwest of the Křivá ( 661 m) and Sádek ( 698 m) and in the west of the Blažkov ( 693 m). History

The first written mention of Bochdalau took place in 1349 as part of the lords of the castle Ronow associated rule Ossow. Last owner of this generation was Wenzel Sturm of Ronow and Mitrow, he was followed from 1448 by Johann Pernštejna. Pernštejnové promoted the town in which, among other things was a brewery and a distillery. 1551 bought Václav Chroustenský of Malovar and Chroustenice the goods by the brothers Jaroslav, Vratislav and Adalbert / Vojtěch of Pernštejna. The citizens of Bochdalau received in 1585 was awarded the right to brew beer. After January Rafael Chroustenský the end of the 16th century moved its headquarters to Cerna, Bohdalov lost its meaning. After the replacement of patrimonial Bohdalov formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Nove Mesto. In the following years Bohdalov reached the re- recognition of the old urban rights. The second half of the 19th century brought the town an industrial boom. The manufacturer Johann Nepomuk Home Rich had the upper mill and sawmill expand to a large factory. Home Rich was also active for the common benefit and initiated in 1874 the establishment of the volunteer fire department. After the Second World War, the Count Collalto were expropriated. 1948 Bohdalov lost its status as Městys. In 1949, the allocation to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou was. Chroustov 1961 and 1976 still Pokojov and Rudolec was incorporated. Since April 12, 2007 Bohdalov is a Městys again.
