Březské

Březské ( German Brzeskiho, 1940-45 Birch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north of Velka Bites and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Březské located on the stream Březinka in Krischanauer Bergland ( Křižanovská Highlands ) in the south of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. To the north lies the Stauweiher Nihovský fishpond. In the south, the Radostínwald extends. South of the village the railway line runs from Brno to Zdar nad Vltavou, the nearest train station is in Vlkov.

Neighboring towns are Borovník in the north, Níhov and Kuřimská Nová Ves in the northeast, Katov, Kartouzy and Křižínkov in the east, Panov and Krovi the southeast, Radostínský Mlýn and Velka Bites in the south, Krevlický Dvůr and Bezděkov the southwest, Vlkov and Osová in the west and Březí in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the castle belonging to the village Ossowa Brys place in the year 1349. 1398, the village of the widow of Jan the Younger of Meziříčí was attributed as a dowry. 1437 was the place to rule Náměšt. The village Krevlice south west went out in the second half of the 15th century. At the beginning of the 17th century consisted of 14 Brezka estate. Five of them were after the Thirty Years' War desolate. Brzeskiho was gepfarrt to 1788 after Osová Bítýška and then came to the parish Březí.

After the abolition of patrimonial Breske formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Velké Meziříčí. In 1899, the village school. In 1900 Breske consisted of 41 houses and 305 inhabitants had. After 1908, the railroad was built, the community tried unsuccessfully for a station; even with the realignment of the route in 1953 this was not possible. In 1924 the town was named Březské. During the German occupation of residents supported Březské the Partisans and granted the 1944 shot General Vojtech Luza of the widow in the village shelter. On 8 May 1945, the village was mobilized by the retreating German troops and taken his day later by the Red Army. At the beginning of 1961, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. 1979 178 people lived in the village.
