Claudio Miguel Pizarro Bosio ( born October 3, 1978 in Callao ) is a Peruvian football player, who also has Italian citizenship.

Childhood and youth

His childhood was spent Pizarro, whose father is a naval officer, along with two siblings in Santiago de Surco, a district of the Lima Province. Pizarro was considered a typical street footballer who was also interested in other sports such as basketball, golf and tennis.

Pizarro began in 1991 at the age of twelve years at Academica Deportiva Cantolao to play football. He was nominated for the U- 17 national team of Peru and played as a 17 -year-old for the first time at Deportivo Pesquero, before he ran aground a half years for Alianza Lima.

Career

Association

Deportivo Pesquero

Pizarro began his professional career with the Peruvian club Deportivo Pesquero at the age of 17 years. In 1996 he completed his debut against Alianza Lima. He scored his first two goals two weeks later in a 2-1 victory against Atlético Torino.

Alianza Lima

In 1998 he moved to Alianza Lima and scored in the first two seasons 25 hits. He reached the second place in the Torneo Apertura Peruvian behind Universitario de Deportes with the team in 1999.

SV Werder Bremen

He was bound by the SV Werder Bremen for a fee of 1.5 million euros in 1999. In his first season in Germany Pizarro scored ten goals in 25 games. The following year he became a regular player, scoring 19 goals in 31 games.

FC Bayern Munich

Due to this success, the FC Bayern Munich became aware of Pizarro and signed him in the summer of 2001 for 8.2 million euros. With Bayern he won three league and cup double in (2003, 2005, 2006), the World Cup ( 2001) and the DFB - League Cup ( 2004). The 30 June 2007 expiring contract was not renewed because Pizarro had rejected an offer of FC Bayern.

Move to Chelsea and return to Bremen

For the season 2007/ 08 Pizarro joined free transfer to the English first division club Chelsea FC, where he signed a four year contract. He could not prevail there was usually only a substitute and was able to achieve only two league goals.

Pizarro joined the 2008/09 season for a year on loan back to SV Werder Bremen. He scored 17 goals and was Werder's top scorer. This season he won the DFB Cup with Werder.

He then first again to Chelsea back in London and graduated from the pre-season. On 18 August 2009 he signed a three -year contract with Werder Bremen with an option for another year. He continued to prove important performers and achieved by 2012 in three years 43 hits, which he replaced with Giovane Elber a total of 160 gates as best foreign Protect the Bundesliga.

Return to Munich

For the 2012/13 season Pizarro returned free transfer back to Bayern Munich, where he signed a one year contract until 30 June 2013. National

Pizarro was captain of the national team of his country, which failed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In eleven qualifiers in which he was employed, he scored only one goal.

Previously, Pizarro had already taken part in the Copa America 2004 Peru, where the team had failed in the quarterfinals to Argentina. In one game, he suffered a skull ceiling crack initiation and fell several months.

In October 2006, he negotiated a trouble with the coach Franco Navarro, as he played only one of two international matches against arch-rivals Chile in order to return in time for Bayern Munich can.
