Dániel Gyurta

Dániel Gyurta [da ː niɛl ɟurtɒ ] ( born May 4, 1989 in Budapest) is a Hungarian swimmer.

Career

The Hungarian breaststroke Gyurta counted in the 2004 Olympics in Athens at the sensational medalists. He was about 200 m breaststroke the youngest medalist in swimming at the Olympics. The 15 -year-old Ungar won behind the Japanese Kosuke Kitajima the silver medal ahead of the U.S. current world record holder Brendan Hansen.

Gyurtas swimming style is characterized by restraint over the first 150 meters, then even with a brilliant run-up to the last 50 m length from the rear position to provide for a decision. In this style, he struggled down the Americans. However, the exception swimmer from Japan was out of reach for him.

Daniel Gyurta was on 31 July 2009 at the World Swimming Championships in Rome world champion over 200 meters breaststroke in European record time of 02:07,64 minutes.

The Short Course European Championships 2009, he won the 200m breaststroke gold and 100m breaststroke silver medal.

His biggest success Gyurta won at the Olympic Games 2012 in London, where he became Olympic champion in world record time of 2:07,28 minutes 200m breaststroke. This record was offered in September by the Japanese Takihiro Yamaguchi 0.27 s. A replica of his gold medal Gyurta bequeathed his parents a few months before the late Alexander Dale Oen Norwegian competitors.

In the Short Course World Championships 2012 in December of the year in Istanbul he rose again the podium ( 2:01,35 minutes).
