Diepenbeek ( Limburg: Djoppenbeek ) is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 18,377 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012).

Hasselt is located six kilometers north-west, the Dutch city of Maastricht 18 km east, 30 km southeast of Liège and Brussels approximately 75 kilometers to the west.

The municipality has a motorway to the A13 / E 313 and a regional train station on the railway line Hasselt - Diepenbeek - Blizen -Liège.

Maastricht Aachen Airport and the airport of Liege are the closest regional airports and near the capital Brussels there is an international airport.
