Kinrooi ( Limburg: children) is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 12,252 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It is located in the far northeast of the country on the left bank of the Meuse, bordering the Netherlands. The municipality comprises the main town and of the districts Kessenich, Molenbeersel and Ophoven (Belgium ).

Maaseik is located five kilometers south, the Dutch cities of Maastricht 30 kilometers south, 36 kilometers north of Eindhoven, Venlo about 30 kilometers north-east and the Belgian capital, Brussels, about 100 kilometers south-west.

The next highway exits are located in Roosteren and Grathem on the Dutch motorway A2 / E 25

In Weert, Roermond, Sittard and Genk are the next regional stations.
