Gustav-Adolf-Straße (Nuremberg U-Bahn)

Metro Station Gustav -Adolf-Straße (abbreviated GA) is the 43rd Metro Station Nuremberg subway and opened on 14 June 2008. It is the terminus of the U3 and 607 meters until the opening of the next phase of construction from Sündersbühl Metro Station. Toward Maxfeld a double track, reversible connects. The Gustav -Adolf-Straße is named after the Swedish King Gustav Adolf II and part of the middle ring.

Location

The station is located in the district of Nuremberg Sündersbühl and extends below the ground in east-west direction under the Wallensteinstraße between constancy and Dunant Road. Of the two lead outputs from the platform heads into a distribution of levels and from there to the south and north side of the Wallensteinstraße. In addition, there is a lift from the platform level on the western side of the Von-der- Tann -Straße. At the eastern rise is located on the site of the former tram Wendeschleife a bus station.

Building and Architecture

The station building is 186 m long, 14 m wide and 7 m deep ( one and a half times the down position). Construction of the station began in 2003 and were carried out in an open design with Berlin wall. In order not to interfere too much road traffic during the construction period, the Wallensteinstraße between constancy and Dunant road south was led around the pit and joined by a new junction with the western ring. The traffic on the West ring itself was performed with temporary bridges over the pit.

The design of the station was the architectural firm KJS transfer. The two side walls of the platform are laterally attached to the fluorescent strip lighting in the national colors of Sweden (blue and yellow ) illuminates. In the western distributor level, there are replicas of the jobs created by the painter Anthony van Dyck Portrait of Gustavus Adolphus and Wallenstein. In the eastern distributor level, there is a replica of the jobs created by Joachim von Sandrart painting " Peace Banquet ". The sunrises are decorated with mosaics.

Lines

The station is served by the U3. At the bus station, the bus lines end 39, 68 to 72, on the western ring holds the line 35 and ends the OVF line 113
