Halfway Island (Queensland)

Called Halfway Iceland also Zuzin or Zuizin Iceland, is an uninhabited Australian island in the center of the archipelago of the Torres Strait Islands. The closest inhabited island Coconut Iceland located 28 km to the northwest.

The approximately nine acres of sparsely vegetated island rises barely above sea level. It is located in the north of a 9.3 km ² Riffplattform. 1.7 km south of the southern Riffkranzes is the 2.7 sq km far smaller Kodnasem Reef on the tiny barren Kodnasem Cay ( 2 ha).

Administratively, the island is one of the central islands, an island region in the municipality of Torres Shire of Queensland.
