, Also called Moa Banks Iceland Iceland is a centrally located island to the west of the archipelago of the Torres Strait Islands.

From its neighboring island of Badu it is separated only by a 3 -km-wide waterway ( Banks Channel). The highest peak is the peak Banks in the Northeast, with a height of 113 meters.

Administratively, include both island to the Western Islands, an island region in the municipality of Torres Shire of the Australian state of Queensland.

Moa Iceland, with an area of over 170 square kilometers, the second largest of the Torres Strait Islands. The island rises in the southwest to 130 meters above sea level, is very sparse, but has natural fresh water resources.

On the island, the two places are located on the southwest coast Kubin and St Pauls on the east coast. They are connected by a narrow, winding road of 18 kilometers in length. Near Kubin is a 980 -meter-long airstrip for light aircraft.

According to the census of 2006 439 people lived on Moa Iceland, of which 201 in Kubin and 238 in St. Pauls. According to the 2001 census the population was 394 people.
