Yorke Iceland, called by the natives Masig, is a small coral island in the northeast of the Torres Strait Islands. It is located about 160 km north-east of Iceland Thursday, the " main island " in the Torres Strait.

The flat, lush island has an area of 162 hectares. It is located together with the smaller two kilometers eastern Kodall Islet on the same 7.6 km long Riffplattform, which has an area of ​​13.27 km ².

Yorke Iceland is inhabited and has a paved 800 -meter-long airstrip for light aircraft. The only settlement is located in the east of Iceland Yorke; according to the census of 2006 there lived 300 people, slightly more than in 2001 (293 ).

Administratively, Yorke is one of the central islands, an island region in the municipality of Torres Shire of the Australian state of Queensland.
