Hamry nad Sázavou

Hamry nad Sázavou ( German Figlhammer ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers west of Zdar nad Sázavou at the Sázava and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Hamry nad Sázavou is located at the headwaters of the Sázava in the Saarer mountains. North-east rises the 674 m high Preperek. By situated on both sides of the River City leads the state road 19 between Přibyslav and Zdar nad Sázavou.

Neighboring towns are Zdar nad Sázavou in the east, in the southeast Radonín, Česká Mez in the south, Sázava in the east, as well as Samotín and Velka Losenice in the Northeast.

History

In the Middle Ages took place on the mountain Preperek silver mining and was exhausted when the reservoir began in 1300 the mining of iron ore. As a large deposit was digested in the 14th century, Wenceslas hammer the settlement Najdek, which belonged to the monastery of Zdar was the first iron hammer and around him. 1407 were the Nicholas Hammer, which later became the Figlhammer, and the Heršovský Hammer, which spawned the Frendelhammer in operation. The impact hammer was founded in 1453 by the hammer Meisterhans.

At the transition from the 17th to the 18th century, the iron ore declined and after the opening of a quarry, the ironworks were shut down.

1897 began the construction of the railway from Německý Brod to Zdar nad Sázavou and on December 21, 1898, the first train. In October 1930 came in the forests of Zdarske Hills to a big snow and wind damage to its disposal a forest railway was created, which led to the Velké Dářko.

In 1939, the doubling of the track between Deutschbrod to Brno, which was completed on December 20, began in 1953. 1954 Najdek was incorporated including the local part Šlakhamry. Horni Hamry had always been a district of Dolni Hamry.

1970, a cultural center was inaugurated after six years of construction. In April 1975, the annexation took place after Zdar nad Sázavou and since 1 July 1990 Hamry nad Sázavou is again an independent municipality.

Local structure

The community Hamry nad Sázavou consists of the districts Najdek ( Neudek in Moravia), Šlakhamry ( impact hammer ) and Hamry. The latter is composed of the local documents Dolni Hamry ( Figlhammer ) and Horni Hamry ( Frendel ). Dolni Hamry is located on the left bank, while all other districts are located on the right side.
