Hornà Rápotice
Horni Rapotice ( German Upper Rapotitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north-west of Humpolec and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.
Geography
Horni Rapotice is located in the hills of the upper Sázava, a branch of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the border areas of Bohemia to Moravia. The village lies at the foot of the 631 m high above the valley of Rapotice Rápotický creek. South of the route of the highway D runs first
Neighboring towns are Proseč in the north, Pusté Lhotsko in the northeast, Budíkov in the east, Světlice, Světlický Dvůr and Brunka the southeast, Jiřice in the south, and Radostin Speřice the southwest, Haj and Holušice in the west and Kaliště in the northwest.
History
The first mention of a village villa Rapoticz was in 1352 by the section on the Vyšehrad. Perhaps it is meant today Dolni Rapotice, because in the same course the oppidum Kralowicz, villa Martinicz and oppidum Zahradka were called. The town's name derives from the name Rapota. In the certificate issued by Emperor Sigismund in 1436 deed through the villages Rapotice, Kaliště Světlice and contrast with today's safety from Horni Rapotice is mentioned.
During the Thirty Years' War, Sweden in 1639, plundering moved through the area and devastated the city Lipnice nad Sázavou. After the battle of Jankau the Swedish General Robert Douglas held the Lipnice occupied and plundered the surrounding land. In that time the village was without form, probably because there was then no longer mentioned. In 1787 the village was named top Rapotitz to distinguish it from the other - to distinguish place - now designated as a Rapotitz. From 1843, the name Hornj Rapotice can prove.
Until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1848 Horni Rapotice the rule of Dolni Kralovice was submissive. Thereafter, the town became an independent municipality, was one of the up in the 1920s, the district Světlice. 1979 Horni Rapotice was incorporated into Humpolec and since 1 January 1994, again independently.
