Horní Rožínka

Horni Rožínka ( German Upper Rosinka, also top Rozinka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-west of Bystřice nad Perštejnem and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Horni Rožínka located in the valley of the brook Rožínka in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. To the west the hill rises Strany ( 568 m). To the southeast lies the only one still operating uranium mine in the Czech Republic, the DIAMO sp, oz GEAM Dolni Rožínka, are degraded in the pitchblende and coffinite.

Neighboring towns are Albrechtice, Rozsochy and Blažejovice in the north, Vojetín in the northeast, Rodkov in the east, Dvořiště and Rožná the southeast, Dolni Rožínka and Blažkov in the south, Zvole the southwest, Račice, Ráčkův Mlýn and Dlouhe in the west and Branišov in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Roženka was in 1366, wrote about as Hertvík of Zwole income from the village as a dowry to Kačna of Zwole. 1385 sold Mikšík of Radinoves the village Roženka to Matyas of Smržov and Ostrov. This sold it in 1390 to Mikuláš of Kojetin. Against the sale put Hereš Ostrov protest because he had claims on the goods of Matyas of Smržov. After the abolition of patrimonial Horni Rozinka formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Nove Mesto. 1947, the community was assigned nad Perštejnem in the wake of the dissolution of Okres Nové Město na Moravě the Okres Bystřice. Since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.
