Indra Sistemas S. A. is an international information technology companies.

History

The company was formed by the merger of companies, which in part had already started operating in 1921. For this purpose, among others, was the armament factory Experiencias Industriales SA. Indra founded in 1925, was founded in 1993 and is listed since 1 July 1999 in the Spanish financial index IBEX 35. In addition, the company was included in the international stock indices such as the FTSE ETX, Dow Jones Global Index and MSCI. The shares of Indra are listed since 2006 in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index indexes ( DJSWI ) and Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index (DJSI STOXX ).

In 2011, orders totaled 2,688 million euros. In his industry, it is measured by market value, the second largest company in Europe. One-third of its sales, the company generates on the international market. The company has approximately 30,000 employees and serves customers in approximately 100 countries.

Activity

Indra has offices in 40 countries. The company deals with, among other things ATC Technology in Europe, technologies for the administration of elections, security and defense systems, working in the field of e-government and e - health.

Indra has a network of centers of excellence and software development centers in Moldova, Slovakia, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Panama, the Philippines, Australia, and Spain. The company has agreements with 100 universities and research centers.
