Geography
Kaisheim lies in the planning region of Augsburg.
There are the following districts: Altisheim, Bergstetten, Gunzenheim, Hafenreut, Kaisheim, Leitheim, Sulzdorf. Community members are: Altisheim, Bergstetten, Bert wide, Gunzenheim, Hafenreut, Kaisheim, Lehenweid, Leitheim, Neuhof, Quellgut, Riedelbergerhof and Sulzdorf.
History
Kaisheim was Obervogt office and belonged to the local Reichsstift monastery Kaisheim. The monastery was founded in 1133 by Count Henry III. founded by Lech Gemuend and his wife Liukardis. It was probably as early as the year 1370 Reichsstift, but until 1656 the monastery was rich immediately. Since the secularization of 1803, the community belongs to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in the Kingdom of Bavaria was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community. 1934 Kaisheim was raised to market.
The Latin name of the place was " Caesarea ", from " Emperor 's home".
Incorporations
On 1 July 1971, the formerly independent communities Gunzenheim, Hafenreut and Sulzdorf were incorporated. 1 July 1972, followed Altisheim and Leitheim.

On the territory of the municipality were 1970 2.657, 1987, 3378 and 2000 counted 4,144 residents a year.

Mayor is Franz Oppel (CSU ).
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of 1,338 K € in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted to € 114k.
