List of spiral tunnels and tunnels on a curved alignment

This list contains the in-use helical tunnel of railway lines (worldwide).

If, within brackets () is present at the track listing, this means that this part is in another country:

Definition (reciprocal or spiral tunnel )

If the topographic conditions require it, the arc of a turn may be in whole or in part as a tunnel. Tunnel, the direction undergoes a deflection in the course of up to about 270 ° are referred to as the reverse tunnel, those with larger angles of rotation of a helical tunnel or circular loop tunnel.

It may happen that even a short spur tunnel is called a loop tunnel, just because he was needed in the course of a turn. However, this criterion is not sufficient to respond to the particular character of a helical tunnels.
