Meziříčko (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Meziříčko ( German Mesericzko, 1940-45 Small Meseritz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. Lies 14 kilometers northwest of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Meziříčko is located at the mouth of the creek in the Nadějovský Balinka ( Lissa Bach) in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. Northwest of the pond is Borovský fishpond. In the center there is the pond návesní rybnik, formerly Mlýnský rybnik (village pond). On the southern outskirts of the village the D1 motorway passes, the next exit is Měřín.

Neighboring towns are Jersín in the north, Cerna in the northeast, and Dedkov Blízkov in the east, in the southeast Měřín, Chlumek in the south, Kamenička in the southwest, and Řehořov Věžnice in the west and Nadějov and Borovský Mlýn in the northwest.

History

The site was probably founded in the early 13th century as part of the colonization activities of the Benedictine monastery Třebíč and belonged to the estates of the Provost Měřín later. The first mention of Meziříčko including the court and festivals took place in 1409, when the abbot Třebíč Ignaz the village pledged to Ješek Střečka. To acquired in 1493 by Jiří Řehořov the place. In 1556 the city was designated as Mezerziczko. After the Jesuit order was abolished in 1773, reached the village of worldly owners. 1785 a part of the goods was parceled and founded the settlements of family and Samotin. For 3,126 guilders bought in 1726 Václav Kalcher the rule Jamné.

After the replacement of the Patriminialherrschaften Meziříčko in 1850 to autonomous municipality in the district Jihlava team. Since 1872 is the local name Meziříčko. Between 1877 and 1880 sought Crown Prince Rudolf the local inn on several occasions pastime on. On September 17, 1879 burned down 31 houses of the village. The following year, the survey work began at a railway which was never realized. 1910 broke up another major fire and destroyed the lower side. This led in 1912 to the founding of the volunteer fire department Meziříčko. In 1949 the parish was assigned to the Okres Jihlava - okolí and from 1961 it belonged to Okres Jihlava. Started in 1975 south of the village of highway construction. On August 20, 1975 several roofs were damaged thereby in Meziříčko by flight rock by an incorrectly calculated detonation. Since 1 January 2007, the community is part of the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.
