Milos (regional unit)

The Regional District of Milos (Greek Periferiaki Enotita Milou Περιφερειακή Ενότητα Μήλου ) is one of 13 regional districts of the Greek region South Aegean. It was formed on the occasion of the administrative reform in 2010 from four island communities of the former Cyclades Prefecture. Proportional to its 9,932 inhabitants sent to the field two deputies in the regional council, but has no more political significance than local authority. It is divided into four municipalities Kimolos, Milos, Serifos and Sifnos.
