Non Khun District

Amphoe Non Khun ( in Thai อำเภอ โนน คูน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Si Saket. The Si Saket province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Khun Non borders the following districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe to the Benchalak, Nam Kliang and Kanthararom in the province of Sisaket, as well as Amphoe Samrong of Ubon Ratchathani province.

History

Non Khun was initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) Amphoe of Kanthararom established on 1 September 1977, the four Tambon Non Kho, Pho, Nong Bok and Kung. On January 1, 1988, he was promoted to Amphoe. Non Khun was written in Thai first โนน คูณ, later the spelling was changed in โนน คูน.

Management

Amphoe Non Khun is divided into five communities ( tambon), which in turn in 80 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
