Nový Jimramov

Nový Jimramov ( German New Ingrowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eleven kilometers southwest of Polička and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Nový Jimramov is located in the southeast of the Saarer mountains in the valley of Fryšávka. North-east rises the Prosíčka ( 739 m), in the southeastern Padělek (625 m ) south of the V Háji ( 681 m) and Pickov (700 m ) southwest of the Zítkův Kopec ( 723 m) and in the west the Rabuňka (722 m ).

Neighboring towns are Doly and Borovnice in the north, V Bombaji and Sedliště in the northeast, Jimramov and Benátky in the east, colony Domky and Strachujov the southeast, Jimramovské Pavlovice, Široké poles and Věcov in the south, Nové Jimramovské Paseky and Polsko the southwest, Hamr, Ve Smrčinách and Líšná in the west and Jimramovské Paseky and Javorek in the northwest.

History

In 1650 was below the castle ruins Starkov on the Frischawa a glassworks, which was extinguished after a short time. The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1660 under the name On the huts / Na Huti. At the point of the glassworks a paper mill was built, which supplied the courts in Prague and Vienna. The settlement was submissive from its founding until 1848, the rule Ingrowitz and was called since the 18th century or New Ingrowitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hutě / New Ingrowitz formed in 1850 with the districts Paseky / Passek and Breitenfeld a municipality in the administrative district of Nove Mesto. The paper mill set at the end of the 19th century their production. In their buildings after a wool scouring was established. From 1921, the name used in addition Hutě since the end of the 19th century Nový Jimramov became the official place name. 1949 Nový Jimramov was assigned to the Okres Polička.
