Nyklovice

Nyklovice ( German Niklowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers south of Bystré and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Nyklovice located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands in the headwaters of Nyklovický creek. The Moravian village is located south of the historic border between Moravia and Bohemia. South-east rises the Kamenec ( 698 m), in the south of Horni les (Upper Forest, 774 m), west of the Uherkova skalka ( 729 ) and in the northwest the borina (740 m).

Neighboring towns are Bystré in the north, Hartmanice, bábky and Svojanov in the northeast, Hlásnice in the east, in the southeast Trpín, Rovečné and Dudkovice in the south, Chlum, Korouhvice and Polom the southwest, Sulkovec in the west and Nedvězíčko and Nedvězí in the northwest.

East of Nyklovice is the deserted village Kamenec. The settlement was burned down during the Thirty Years' War by the Swedes and never rebuilt.

History

The first written mention of Mikulovice took place in 1335, as Jimram of Auspergs daughter Jeruše gave the village the Augustinian monastery Doubravník. After the destruction of the monastery by the Hussites Mikulášovice fell again to the Lords of Pernštejna. 1590 sold them the village and became part of the dominion Kunštát. In Josephine cadastre of 1789, the town was referred to as Niklowitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Mikulovice / Niklowitz formed a municipality in the district Boskovice. Subsequently, the village was referred to as Niklovice and since the early 20th century as Nyklovice. In 1949 the congregation to Okres Bystřice nad Perštejnem and from 1961 to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. Between 1976 and 1990 Nyklovice was incorporated to Rovečné. Since 1997 Nyklovice leads a coat of arms and banners. In the village there is an outdoor swimming pool.
