Pale-Prača

Pale - Praca is with only about 1,000 inhabitants and is the smallest of the three dressing Municipalities of the canton Bosnian Podrinje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The community is located at the Praça and its tributaries and is part of the Federation, one of two entities of the South East European state.

Geography

The municipality is located in the mountainous east of the country, the mountains reach into the Jahorina heights of more than 1900 m. The Praça flows through here a deep ravine, which is among the largest in the country. The parish seat is Praça on the eponymous river about 25 km east of Pale.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the settlements Brdarići, Brojnići, Čeljadinići, Čemernica, Datelji, Kamenica, Komrani, Praca, Renovica, Šainovići, Srednje and Turkovići.

History

The municipality of Pale - Praca consists of the following the Dayton Agreement separated by the border innerbosnische southeastern part of the former municipality of Pale, now part of the larger remaining part of the Republika Srpska. Nine out of 19 places with a Bosniak majority population were thus separated from the municipality of Pale.

Population

In 1991 lived on the territory of the present municipality 2,035 inhabitants, of which is designated as 1,346 Bosniaks (66%) and 674 as Serbs ( 33%). Praca himself was the only place in the municipality of Pale, by the ratio between Serbs and Bosniaks was approximately balanced, with a brief Serbian majority had not. Of the remaining 10 districts had a nine Bosniak majority.

At the 2013 census, the municipality had 1,043 inhabitants nurmehr.

Economy and infrastructure

Praca located on the eastern Bosnian main road 5 (Sarajevo- Visegrad ), but which is paved and expanded in this section only to Renovica. The road uses the Praça Gorge as a corridor and is little used. In about 8 km from Praça remote settlement Renovica branches off a paved mountain pass that crosses Čemernica after Goražde. The M5 on the other hand starts moving toward Ustipraca as a gravel road continues. Situated in the higher part of the Jahorina mountains west of the city limits is undeveloped; the settlements located there can only be reached through bad ways.
