Pavlov (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Pavlov ( Pavlov German ) is a town in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers north-west of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Pavlov is located on the edge of Arnolecké Mountains, part of the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands, brook the brook Pavlovský. To the east lies the pond Podvesník and fishpond in the north of Staropavlovský and Znětíněcký fishpond. In the south, the Krib ( 667 m) and Dědkovská hora rise ( 694 m ) southwest of the Kyjov ( 702 m) and in the northwest the Hudcova skala ( 663 m ) and V Kopečku ( 663 m).

Neighboring towns are Pokojov and Znětínek in the north, Radostín nad oslavou in the northeast, Kněževes, Vrbův Mlýn and Krásněves in the east, Záhradište and Zadnà Zhořec the southeast, Dedkov in the south, Milíkov and Kyjov in the southwest, Chroustov in the west and Stary Telečkov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village belonging to the reign Mostiště took place in 1370 when Bohun of Mostiště left the place Margrave Jan Heinrich. According to ancient histories of the village and a castle to the north originally stood on the corridor Stary and Pavlov have been much larger. At the end of the 14th century Pavlov was added to the rule Meziříčí. In the reign division in 1515 Vladislav Meziříčský of Lomnice received the village. Pavlov was thus part of the Gutsherrschaft Ostrov nad Oslavou

After the replacement of the Patriminialherrschaften Pavlov formed in 1850 with the district Stary Telečkov a municipality in the district team Velké Meziříčí. With the beginning of 1961 the Okres Velké Meziříčí was disbanded and assigned to the municipality the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. 1980, the annexation to Radostín nad Oslavou. Since 1991, the village of Pavlov there again.

The municipality consists of the villages Pavlov Pavlov ( Pavlov ) and Stary Telečkov (Alt Teletschkau ).

  • Church of Sts. James and Philip, the original Gothic building from the 13th century has been provided in the 15th century ramparts. 1792 was a baroque reconstruction and the cultivation of the tower

Personalities

  • Antonín Bradáč Hugo (1911-1974), poet and storyteller worked as a pastor in Pavlov. His grave is in the local cemetery.
