Peugeot 304

The Peugeot 304 was a commonly located in the lower middle class passenger cars of Peugeot. He was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in the version in October 1969 as a sedan. The design of the body for this vehicle comes from the house of Pininfarina in Turin (Italy).

The 304 had a transversely mounted alloy engine, which was in contrast to the rust -prone bodywork as innovative and reliable. Motor Presse criticized the circuit that caused problems especially when downshifting from third to second gear. Technically, he was a development of the Peugeot 204, the body was down to the squarer " face" of the front ( " snapdragon " ) and the longer tail with him almost identical.

In March 1972, the Peugeot 304 S came on the market, which - unlike its predecessor - over round instruments, reversing lights, seat belts and head restraints decreed otherwise, however, was almost identical.

By the end of production in the fall of 1980 were built well over a million vehicles of this type.

His place was taken by the already introduced in November 1977 Peugeot 305.
