Podolsky District

The Podolski rayon (Russian Подольский район ) is a raion in Moscow Oblast in Russia. It is located south of the center of the capital Moscow. The administrative center is the city of Rajons Podolsk, which is itself not part Rajon.

Geography

The Podolski rayon is bordered to the northeast by the Leninsky rayon, rayon on the east by the Domodedowski and on the south by the Tschechowski rayon of Moscow Oblast, in the west and north by the territory of the city of Moscow. The Rajon encloses the territories of the independent city of Podolsk circles and Klimowsk.

History
