Pontboset

Pontboset is an Italian municipality in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. The municipality has 194 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012), is located at an average altitude of 780 m slm and has a size of 33 km ². The inhabitants Pontbosetini ( it.) or Pontbosards (French ) called. Pontboset is a member of the Association of Municipalities Comunità Montana Mont- rose.

Pontboset consists of the districts Pont- Bozet ( chef-lieu ), La Place, Frassiney, Savin, Trambésère, Pialemont, Piolly, Vareisaz, Terrisse, Valvieille, Frontières, Écreux, Crest dessous, dessus Crest, Percellette, Folliettaz, Délivret, Fournier, La Bourney, Barmelle, Barmacrepaz and Châteigne. The neighboring municipalities are Arnad, Champorcher, Donnas, HÃ'ne, Issogne, Traversella (TO) and Vico Canavese (TO). The latter two communities are located in the Piedmont and are part of the province of Turin.

During the Fascist period, the village was the Italianate name Pianboseto.
