Doues

Doues is an Italian municipality in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. The municipality has 495 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012), is situated on the left bank of the river Dora Baltea.

Doues consists of the districts Aillan, Bovier, Champ- Mort, Champsavinal, Chanet, Chatellâir, Chez- Croux, Condemine, Coudrey, Coudrey Dessus, Crètes, Dialley, skin Prabas Javiod, La Bioulaz, La Cerise La Chenal, La Cleyvaz, La Coud, La Crétaz, La Perrouaz, Lusey, Meylan, Orbaney, plan d' Aillan, Planavillaz, Plataz, Ploutre, Posseil, Prabas, torrent, Arp du Bois, Champillon Chésery, Creuseuvy, Creux, Favre, Grange Rousse, L' arp de Praz, Larveusse, Le Parc, Moffes, Pessinoille, Piolet, Piolet -Dessus, Piolet du Milieu, plan Tarédaz, Pointier, Pré, Tsanorgne, Tsa di Champillon Véries and reserved. The neighboring communities are called Alone, Etroubles Gignod, Ollomont Roisan and Valpelline.

Worth seeing is the parish church and a residential tower from the 14th century.

During the Fascist period it received the Italianate name Dovia di Aosta.
