Pulitzer Prize for Drama
The Category Theatre ( Drama ) of the Pulitzer Prize has been around since 1917. During the years 1917, 1919, 1942, 1944, 1947, 1951, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1972, 1974, 1986, 1997 and 2006, there were no winners.
The Pulitzer Prize for drama is awarded to the playwright of a play. In the case of a musical drama ( musical), the price goes to all the authors of the piece, and indeed to the composer, lyricist and author.
