Radešínská Svratka

Radešínská Svratka ( German Radeschiner Svratka ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Nove Mesto na Moravě and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Radešínská Svratka extends in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands below the confluence of the Zátoka on both sides of the river Bobruvka. To the east the hills Kopec rise ( 654 m) and Bukůvka (600 m), in the southeast Svratka ( Swratkaberg, 581 m) and to the south the Kalvárie ( Borowaberg, 593 m).

Neighboring towns are Petrovice and Nová Ves u Nového mesta na Moravě in the north, Křídla in the northeast, Dlouhe in the east, Lánský Dvůr Račice and Horni Bobrová the southeast, Podolí in the south and Křiby in the southwest, and Hodíškov Řečice in the West.

History

Since the founding of the monastery Saar Bobruvka formed the boundary between the monastery goods and possession, which the founders had Boček attributed by Jaroslavice Zbraslav and his heirs. Svratka was created in the second half of the 13th century in Community colonization of forests by Bočeks son Gerhard Zbraslav and Obřany († 1291 ) and the Cistercian Order.

The first written mention of the village Svratka took place in the chronicle of the Cistercian monastery Marie Born in Saar. It is reported that Heralt of Obřany donated his half of the village to the monastery. The time of first detection is therefore dated to 1290. Before the Order had in service at the end of the 13th century on his right the Bobruvka, share created a cloister to which belonged also the settlement Svratecka. First written evidence of the court are from 1356. In 1366, the first time the church was called. The farm Lánský Dvůr probably originated in the 15th century as Vladikensitz. After 1511 the cloister was, as Svratecka, desolate. The first town seal, which shows a stork comes from the year 1667.

After the dissolution of the monastery during the Josephine reforms Svratka fell in 1784 the religious foundation of the rule Saar. This was the k.k. Transmitted sale Commission for the state farms, which divided the former monastic property in five parts, with Svratka fell to the Radešíner share. After 1784, the pilgrimage church of St.. John of Nepomuk was burned on the Zelena Hora, was spent in 1787, the organ and the confessional for the restoration of the ruined church after Saar. 1826 was the sale of the rule Radešín František Schneider. After the abolition of patrimonial Svratka formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Nove Mesto. Tomáš Rehor Wolny reported in its 1856 published Ecclesiastical Topography of Moravia on iron ore mining in Svratka. In addition, earlier reactors were operated. Since the end of the 19th century, the place is officially called Radešínská Svratka. 1895, the access road was constructed after Radešínská Svratka, which today serves as a road between two villages. In 1949 the parish was assigned to the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou in the wake of the dissolution of Okres Nové Město na Moravě.

Attractions

  • Church of Sts. Wenzel, who built in the Empire style building was built in 1805 to replace a proven since 1366 late Gothic previous building. According to ancient histories is a first small wooden church in the 10th century shortly after the death of St.. Wenzel have stood on the site of the present presbytery. The Parish Chronicle reports that have been found in the tower arch at a mending a year number 947. However, this is disputed by historians.
