Räterichsbodensee

The Räterichsbodensee is a reservoir in the Grimsel region in the Bernese Oberland with a volume of around 25 million cubic meters. It is located at about 1767 m above sea level. The water from the Räterichsbodensee is used in the power plants Handeck 2 and 3 Handeck the Oberhasli power plants.

In September 2007, the large-scale picture of the water Jungfrau Mélisande by the artist Pierre Mettraux has been completed on the dam of the Räterichsbodensee.
