Re'eh

Re'eh (Hebrew "Look! ") Is a reading section of the Torah with the text of Deuteronomy / Devarim 11.26 to 16.17.

This is the reading of the 4th or 5th Sabbath in the month of Av.

Gist

The text begins with a reconciliation of Moses in speech. It's about the blessing for the fulfillment of the commandments and the corresponding curse and two mountains, Gerizim and Ebal, on which separate blessing and a curse to be announced.

The following is the beginning of the Collection of Laws of the fifth book of Moses. The strange cult places in Palestine are to be destroyed, victims are not allowed in the land of Canaan only at one certain place of God.

Adoption of rules for slaughtering and sacrifices and other regulations. The Sabbath year and the three pilgrimage festivals ( Shalosh regalim ) are required.
