Rimbach-près-Masevaux

Rimbach- près- Masevaux is a commune with 493 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Thann, founded the Canton Masevaux and the 2001 Association of Municipalities Vallée de la Doller et Soultzbach.

Geography

The community Rimbach- près- Masevaux located in the south-eastern Vosges. The belonging to the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges municipality covers a portion of the Seebach valley including the side valleys. The Seebach empties into the southern neighboring community Oberbruck in the Doller. From Oberbruck in Doller leads the only year-round paved road for Rimbach- près- Masevaux. The surrounding Rimbach heights are now higher than 1000 m above sea level (Rossberg 1191 m, 1054 m pin head, Tête des Perches 1222 m). The latter peak is part of the Vosges ridge, which leads on to the Vosges department in Lorraine.

Neighboring communities of Rimbach are Storckensohn and Mollau in the north, and Mitzach Moosch in the northeast, Wegscheid the southeast, Oberbruck in the south and Saint- Maurice- sur -Moselle in the northwest.
