Sabiñánigo

Sabiñánigo ( Aragonese Samianigo ) is the capital and administrative center of the homonymous municipality ( municipality ) in the province of Huesca of the Autonomous Community of Aragon. Sabiñánigo belongs to the comarca of Alto Gallego. The entire community had Sabiñánigo 2012 10.241 inhabitants in the year.

Geography

Sabiñánigo is located 58 kilometers north of the provincial capital of Huesca between the valley of the Río Aurín and the middle reaches of the Rio Gallego. Sabiñánigo is located in the Pyrenees foothills to 780 meters.

Economy

In the 20th century the town developed into a tourist center, many ski resorts are reachable from which.
