Sahún

Sahún, Saun in the local dialect, Saünc in Catalan, is a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain. It is located in the comarca of Ribagorza middle of the Pyrenees on the river Ésera in the Valley of Benasque. Sahún adjacent to the Parque Natural Posets- Maladeta. In Sahún as a Benasques (or Patués ) known Catalan- Aragonese transitional dialect is spoken as in Benasque.

Sahún and Eriste lying on the orographic right bank of the dammed by the Embalse de Linsoles Ésera, Eresué above Sesué on the left side of the valley. In Eriste is a hydroelectric power plant.
