Saltrio

Saltrio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3035 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Varese, in the Lombardy region. The community is located about 11 kilometers northeast of Varese, on the border with Switzerland and is part of the Comunità Montana del Piambello. Through the community of Ripartino flows.

History

The Saltriosaurus is named after the church ( where the term is not recognized ). 1996 Fossils have been found of this theropod from the Sinemurian, similar to the Allosaurus, in a quarry near the village.
